water, words, and the city converge

Two Los Angeles poets trace the turbulent history of the L.A. River — from its indigenous roots to its concrete channeling — using verse and deep ecology to reckon with what the city lost when it chose commerce over nature. Through their writing and activism, they call on Angelenos to fall back in love with the river as a path toward collective healing and environmental stewardship.
